Low Ridership

Low Ridership examines the Washington, D.C. metro system during periods of sparse occupancy. Across stations, platforms, and transit interiors, the photographs observe individuals moving through large-scale infrastructure largely alone, revealing conditions of separation, quiet movement, and solitude within shared public space. The work considers how people inhabit transit architecture when density recedes and silence becomes visible.
