Low Ridership

This series was photographed during periods of low ridership in the Washington, D.C. metro system, when its Brutalist spaces are sparsely occupied. Focusing on individuals moving through large-scale transit infrastructure largely alone, the work examines separation, quiet movement, and psychological distance within shared public systems. Rather than depicting crowds or spectacle, the photographs observe how people inhabit civic architecture when density recedes and silence becomes visible.
