Crossings
This series examines pedestrian crossings as moments of transition within the city. Crosswalks are functional structures, but their repeated stripes and measured spacing also impose a simple geometry that shapes how people enter, pause, and move through shared space.
The photographs focus on individuals and small groups navigating these marked zones, guided by signals, surrounding architecture, and the graphic order of the street. Within this fixed pattern, subtle differences in posture, spacing, and direction become visible as people move in parallel or briefly align before separating again.
By observing these restrained moments of passage, the series considers how urban infrastructure quietly organizes movement, allowing private intentions to coexist within a shared, regulated frame.
